Choose the best destination to start a business !

The British institute « Legatum » has published for 2015 its index of prosperity in the world. This index ranks 142 countries based on indicators of wealth and well being classified in eight categories: economy, business and prospects, governance, education, health, security, personal freedom and social capital.

Who tops this prosperity index?

Norway tops the list for the seventh consecutive time, beating Switzerland, Denmark, New Zealand and Sweden.

The last in the list are Central Africa, Afghanistan, Haiti, Chad and Burundi. In France, the prosperity index declined since 2009. The country lost three seats but remains 21st of 142 countries.

Which countries are the best for creating a business?

The study highlights destinations that offer the best environment for entrepreneurs! Prosperity of a nation is measured by the opportunities it offers its citizens to create a new business (as well as education, health, freedom…). An interesting classification for all expatriates who wish to start their business abroad…

The Legatum institute took into consideration 10 variables, including the costs of launching its start-up, the quality of Internet coverage and the number of mobile phones per household.

In the ranking of countries the most favourable for creating a business, Northern Europe (Sweden, Denmark, Norway…) rises to the top spots. And among them, Sweden is the best country “entrepreneur-friendly”, according to the British institute Legatum.

France, meanwhile, ranks number 19 out of 142 rated countries (it increased by only two places in three years). However, entrepreneurship and health are the two areas that allow our country to look good. Evidence that start-uppers became great assets for France!
